This is totally unacceptable and we are sick and tired of the inaction by the city. The mayor and council do nothing to correct these peoples behavior. Start citing and arresting and stop ignoring this area of town. Instead of worrying about more speed cameras maybe they should in force laws on these homeless camps that affect the life of working people.
We want action, not after 3 weeks or 2 weeks, remove them and cite them for littering and anything else that’s illegal. I guarantee they shoplift Walgreens and the corner gas stations. They aggressively panhandle and loiter around the businesses in the area. Next election will vote for someone who will place a priority in this area.
These businesses are going to have enough of these vagrants camping behind them, they’ll eventually close up and leave just like other businesses have. Then will have an even bigger problem with vacant buildings in the area. Remove them and make it stick this time or eventually it will get even worse.
There are currently 9 homeless addicts/vagrants outside my apartment right now. And they're all smoking fentanyl and urinating in the street and so much more. This is so ridiculous! We are exhausted of this Albuquerque/APD! Do your jobs! Children live here and see all this too!
