I second this. The problem is compounded by cars that are consistently parked/stopped in the crosswalks at this intersection. Please consider adding hard infrastructure (curbs, planters, boulders) to protect the crosswalks from illegal obstruction in this intersection.

Agreed. There used to be bump outs for a few months but they were removed when the road was paved and never reinstalled. But drivers just drive over the soft bollards anyway.

I will add, at certain hours in the morning, the sun is usually an issue for drivers heading east bound, however it’s not an excuse. With this knowledge we should be planning and building infrastructure to further enforce the stop and keep pedestrians safe.

This is why parking enforcement needs to do ALOT BETTER. They only go around and enforce street sweeping never corners or crosswalks you always have to call it in. They need to be looking for ALL violations while on patrol. Makes a bad situation worse

Yes. This corner and the the corner of 1st and Jersey are both equally dangerous.

There were bump outs and they were removed when the road was repaved??? When was that section repaved? I can ask our engineer on Monday, but getting answers quicker really help.

When there were bump outs, did that solve the problem or just make the situation a little more safer.
