Description
The potholes in both lanes on the Forestville Road bridge over Sanford Creek (between Heritage High and the Fire House) have become increasingly annoying and dangerous (as drivers shift into the oncoming traffic lane in order to avoid them). There was work being at one point but only one of many significant holes were covered (metal plate) and it wasn't even the worst one. I'm not sure if this is within the Wake Forest limits but my alignment, balljoints, and tires can't take much more of them.

The Town of Wake Forest does not maintain Forestville Road. DOT is aware of the issue on the bridge. You may contact DOT directly at 919-496-2277 to report this issue. Please see below regarding the bridge replace and temporary closure of Forestville Road that is coming up.
Forestville Road- Construction to replace the bridge on Forestville Road is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2015. The existing bridge will be replaced with a two-lane bridge with sidewalk on the west side (Heritage High School side) of the structure and a pedestrian underpass to accommodate users accessing the Smith & Sanford Creek Greenway.
You may visit the Town's website at www.wakeforestnc.gov and view all updates on the bridge replace on Forestville Road, Rogers, Road, Oak Avenue, and Purnell Road.
