Talk to your neighbor (the loud noisy man who attended multiple meetings & badgered the commissioners) about the sign. Better yet - talk to Commissioner Layden who thinks he did a great job putting the sign up. It was totally unnecessary. Man should have controlled his kids playing instead if there was a safety issue. Good luck!!

The sign is ok, but only if they put one going the other direction. Its really dangerous as it is now for people turning across traffic. Wait until that neighbor kid gets hit when someone legally drives through the intersection because the kid just assumed it was a 3-way stop. Great job Springfield!

Maybe another sign advising that opposing traffic does not stop could work.

As far as the man coming to the meetings to get action on his street, he should be thanked for caring enough about his children and the community to get involved to initiate action.

Sometimes we all have to bear inconvenience for the safety of others. It is what responsible members of society endure. Having neighbors that care and get involved is the greatest protection you have against declining property values.

I have never heard anyone say they could not live on a street because it had too many stop signs.

3-way stop installed. Problem somewhat fixed.
