Description
Gee, suoervisors promised after last year's fiasco, MORE ACCOUNTABILITY AND A DIFFERENCE.
It seems that those responses were meaningless. Halloween of 2011 was a major snowfall.
There was absolutely no effort or attempt to touch our street. It is now the end of January. We received about 4 inches of snow + ice.
Charlestown was plowed neatly and efficiently. Did I see one plow?
No.
Where the heck are my tax dollars going? Open space? Give me a break!!!!
Supervisors, where are your priorities? People need to go to work safely.
You promised change. If that meant a change of contractors, so be it.
Still there is zero accountability.
Where is the change?
Something has got to change - on way or another
West Pikeland has high taxes, 2 state highways and all residential.
Our street has not been touched. Now it is frozen. There will be no mail because of your laziness AGAIN! IT IS UNSAFE.
THE ONLY THING THE TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS EVER WORRY ABOUT IS 'yellow springs historic area' .
When does our money ever go for the residents, ie EFFECTIVE, RELIABLE plowing and police?
There have been 4 days notice prior to the storm-- ABSOLUTELY no excuse.

This information was shared with the township and hopefully, they were out to take care of your issue on Monday or Tuesday morning.
Let me know if it wasn't done. Also, you can contact the West Pikeland Twp. office at office@westpikeland.com.

Wasn't resolved. Happened repeatedly this year!
Necommen- plowed. 401 - plowed.
Sycamore lane left to dig our way out. And after fighting and getting stuck over and over again on the street, there was no way to get thru the huge mounds at the end!!!
All because newcomen and the Charlestown streets across the way had been plowed!
Gee thanks!

Yeah, it was not what you expected, i'm sure. The township does not appear to do a good job salting the roads. When they did plow, they have done a pretty descent job (at least over off Davis Rd. - Bridlewood, Pickering Estates, Fairfield), but you are right, if it wasn't salted this past year, then it didn't melt and just iced up. Too cold! We have a new township manager who appears to be pretty sharp. He started in late Fall/Early winter. I am not sure how much or if he was involved with contracting our snow removal drivers. I can tell you that 2011/2012 wil be totally different.
Is Newcomen a state Rd.? I think it is. As far as Charlestown meadows is concerned, I don't know if the Charlestown Twp. is responsible for those roads yet or not. They might have a contractor clearing their roads and sidewalks.
