That mangrove tree looks bigger every time I see it. There are now mangrove sprouts coming up in the ditch several feet away from the tree. The ditch will soon be a mangrove swamp with no drainage. The tree and all roots and sprouts need to be removed. This is a storm drainage ditch, not a protected shore line.

Checked the mangrove issue in the drainage ditch this morning. Mangrove sprouts are along the sides of the ditch almost to 40th Ave. NE. The tide was very high, so I couldn't determine how the drainage is working. I say again, this ditch will soon be a mangrove swamp if all roots and sprouts aren't removed from it. I worry about mosquitoes hatching in the still water.
