The homeowner has been notified of the violation. If the inflatables are not removed by 11/02/2023, the case will be forwarded to Municipal Court to be set for a hearing.

The inflatables have been removed. However, as part of the investigation, Code Enforcement could not find a business license nor home occupation license for the above address. Due to these factors, the owner remains in violation. The Revenue Department has looked at the case and concluded that the owner does not meet the requirements for a home occupation. The owner will be contacted and instructed that, to remain doing business in Hoover, he will have to obtain all necessary permits and move the business to an approved district or he will be cited for multiple violations.

It was noted on 11/6 that the inflatables were removed, but that is not correct. The inflatables are still piled in the driveway and garage to the point where they have to park their cars on the street.

The Revenue Dept. has determined that this property does not meet the requirements to receive a home occupation license. The homeowner was sent a cease and desist notice ordering him to stop all business related activities immediately. A follow up inspection saw that the trailer was still blocking traffic and at least one inflatable was present on the property. This case will be forwarded to the Municipal Court to be set for a hearing.

The case has been set for a hearing on 04/03/2024.
