I live near this intersection and I witness small cars speed through the circle with ease. Large vehicles, alike, are unmotivated to lower their speed while passing through as Marshall Street in general has limited stop signs or yields. This neighborhood is bustling with school aged kids, older pedestrians and moms with jogger strollers, plus everything in between. A yield on all four corners would surely slow vehicles to a crawl and promote the safety and welfare of all who frequent this area.

I would also like to see yield signs in place. Stop signs, to me, seem to reduce the efficacy of the roundabouts, but yield signs would encourage drivers to SLOW down. I've often witnessed city buses and police cars go through these intersections too quickly. As a mother of a young child and a dog owner, I worry about speeding drivers.

I agree. I live one block away from and have almost been hit a few times because drivers aren't paying attention or assume the yield signs are the same. This makes no sense especially in a school zone.

4/30/2012 Richmond Traffic Management reviewed this situation and noted on 4/27/2012 the signs at the circles and found as appropriate signs and in order. No sign changes are necessary at this time. Traffic Management at this point will also be continually monitoring this location closely to determine if any adjustments are needed - rtt
