Semi and Delivery trucks still parking on the streets during the day and over night on both streets.

Semi's are still using these streets almost on daily/nightly basis.
They are destroying tree limbs and the pavement.

Again. Still having multiple semi trucks on Georgetown and Balfour Streets. Friday through Sunday 4 different semi trucks never moved

Yours isn't the only neighborhood having that problem.Makes me wonder if the City would consider creating some vacant lot or a few of them ......even from private owners....if they discover there is a need that could be used for people who drive semis and have no space to park them at home.I suspect a reasonable fee for yearly parking could be set up.Like the lot on the corner of Washington and Cedar that faces the street?That way the trucks wouldn't be at risk of tampering...pretty out in the open there.Maybe the front of the lot now owned by the church on Cedar that used to be some kind of big store..near the Taco place?

It is very obvious that the city doesn't care about this issue. The number of semis parking on Georgetown Blvd, Haag and Balfour around the townhouses. Some trucks are here 2-3 days...weekends. Now with it getting cold, they are running all night...diesel fumes are not pleasant, and the constant rumbling of the diesels. The blvd was repaved a couple yrs ago, and is crumbling.

2 semi trucks have been parked on Georgetown Blvd for last week. They have been running their engines at night. Noisy and diesel fumes outside our homes. Plus in violation of night time parking. Still no action after multiple complaints

During the process on trying to issue tickets we found out the the section that allowed LPD to issue tickets on semi-trucks had been dropped from our code. The Public Safety Committee with LPD got the section added back in so now tickets can be written. I have passed this on to Patrol.

LPD checked on 2 semi's parked on Georgetown. One was ticketed. While there the owner of the second semi showed up. A warning was issued and he was allowed to move his truck. They also made contact with the owners of 2 more semi drivers / trucks on Balfour near Georgetown. Warnings were issued to them. LPD will follow up to ensure compliance.

There is still one red semi parked on Georgetown...It's been there for 2 weeks.

you need to call every night to have it ticketed for 2-5 am no parking, after 3 tickets it will be tagged to tow

Iris is right about calling but that is SUPPOSED to be for cars that park all the time and don't move off the street...TRUCKS aren't supposed to be there at all.If Carol Wood is kept abreast of this..she'll get it handled.Kathy Dunn had to do it for our neighborhood and it was harder because we had cars so we DID have to get up and take pictures with time and date stamps to prove they were parking all night..every night.

Georgetown Blvd seems to be the nightly/weekend parking lot for semi trucks... Really bad when the trucks are running all night... diesel fumes...

In the past two weeks there's been two trucks parked on Georgetown Boulevard all night two-three nights in a row. Neighbor talked with one of the semi drivers in the driver said it's cheaper to pay city fines than to park in designated Semi areas.

EASY solution if we had a city SMART enough to put it together....make the fines on semis parking in neighborhoods high enough that they decide to park where they are supposed to park.Win for the neighbors who don't have to deal with this anymore and win for the City that can collect more fees for it!

It's obvious that the city doesn't care. This issue has been an on going issue for over a year now...on this site...

I called LPD twice over weekend regarding a semi parking in the "T" intersection at HAAG and GEORGETOWN. The semi was moved at some point but only about 50 feet and then parking across the driveway of the Cooperative garage, blocking in the cooperative trucks.
This was reported last night, and the truck was still there this morning.

Easy 2 -3 semi trucks parking on Georgetown, Haag, Balfour streets during the week...weekends for multiple nights..

WHATEVER "THE CITY" said they were going to do apparently has no power. Multiple semi trucks continue to use the streets for parking lots at night and most weekends. I hope the city plans to replace the streets again due to the damage being done by these trucks. Streets are crumbling.

STILL NO RESOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM... Surfaces on Georgetown Blvd are getting deep ruts and rumbling.... so much for a new surfacing a couple years ago... Last night 4 semi and deliver trucks on the streets
