This also happened to me in the Brewery Square Condos off of Front Street

Happened to me on the same day on Edwards St. near Nash. My UPS guy is great and usually puts stuff up the stairs in the back. This was one small package left in front. I never get anything of great value I know will be left out but it's still disheartening to feel like there is always someone scoping your stuff.

Oh, I'm sorry. This happens in my neighborhood (near Wooster Square) too. I've been having all packages delivered to my place of work just to be safe.

I share your frustration and had this happen as well in Wooster Square. Your credit card company should offer protection(American Express is outstanding) and the carrier .

Regarding future deliveries, see if you can request pickup at the carrier's distribution warehouse. I have done this with both Fedex and UPS.

With future shipments you might leave instructions with the delivery company not to leave it if you are not home. You can then go to their depot to pickup it up, they will leave a slip notifying you that a delivery was attempted. You can also have them leave it with a neighbor.

BTW - for future - the "Get it delivered to work" is not helpful to everyone. Our company has a policy against that and it would be impossible given the size of our organization.
