When was the property nice? My guess would be right after they built the project but before they let anyone move in. I knew someone who moved into there right when it opened. I tried to warn her but she was blinded by how nice the place looked. She moved in with her two young children and couldn't move out fast enough. There were drug dealers living in the apartment next door and would cause a ruckus sometimes until 3:00 AM. And that was just the one neighbor. Then a month later there was a shooting there. So once again, when was this project nice?

To quote our president. "You can put lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig."

I am not disenchanted with the living conditions of my apartment or the people that reside here that is part and partial to the neighborood, ANd Yes there are going to be drug dealers in every city look on Liberty and Grand Streets or Main. you don't have to look far. But the problem is the People that frequent the buildings common areas

Exactly Dave. The entire area should be eviscerated. The drug dealers that live in the project are what draws the other hooligans in that you speak of. They need to clean up the filth that lives in the complex. Once the building managers do a better job of screening tenants and only allowing in deserving families that need help to afford an apartment and stop renting to lowlifes, the other vagrants will stop hanging around. It's on you and your neighbors as residents of this building to ensure that your building's manager makes it a nice place to live. If the majority of the residents do nothing then nothing will be done to change that. I understand people are afraid to confront this trash as they may be beat or even worse shot and killed but you can't just hope something will happen. Residents need to make change happen.

NEAT hosts a Community Policing and Code Enforcement meeting on the first Friday of the month. One of the issues that has been brought up there is the lack of responsiveness of the Wharfside Management to ensuring that the building is safe and decent. Additionally, they were planning on putting up a fence so that people couldn't access the parking lot from Green St., but with changes in the property manager, it hasn't happened.

The lack of "responsiveness" of the Warfside Management is BY DESIGN!! It's part of "AGENDA 21".
Fences are only heeded by law abiding people. The lawless care nothing about fences. They will just go through/over or under them.

Well I am a tenant at Wharfside Commons and I have spoken with Management regarding their intents on putting a fence up, in their efforts to prevent the traffic flowing through the property at all hours day and night. However It has been addressed by 2 of the previous managers as well as the current property Manager and the last I heard the Fence was in the hands of the Property Maintenance surpervisor for all of Richmond Group Owned and operated properties. I was told the upper management was reviewing the best way to address the parking lot access, However I Have never heard of AGENDA 21 before.

I don't understand any of BEA41660's consistent referenceing AGENDA 21. I went to the Link and It is not of any relivence to the living conditions or the issue I have reported. I think you are living under the conspiacy theory. And might need to go view SECRET SOCIETIES web site. Go talk about it at the next NEAT meeting they might want to hear your AGENDA 21 belifes

Although the Middletown police do patrol on occasion and occasionally park in the parkinglot between Green and Ferry Street. The Individuals that Urinate in the elivators as they pass through the property and do drugs out in front of the building still continue , I believe there is also an individual selling drugs from the front enrtance to Building 70 as you approach from the sidewalk. hopefully Officers will spot this guy as well
