Description
Almost every day people go the wrong way down both Woodland and Mansfield Street. I don't know if the signage is not clear enough or if the angle of the interesection of Mansfield and Woodland and Winchester and Woodland does not make it clear that these are one way streets and people are going the wrong way. A year ago there was a bad accident on Mansfield as a result of someone speeding the wrong way down Mansfield after they had made a wrong turn onto Woodland (also in the wrong direction), could someone look at this andfix it? There are a lot of children and bicycle traffic on Mansfield Street and this seems dangerous ...

Narrowing all of the intersections using sidewalk bumpouts would make it much less likely for drivers to think that Woodland or Mansfield were two-ways.
I very rarely see car traffic going the wrong way here, but bicyclists certainly travel down Mansfield the wrong way, and in large numbers. This situation will almost certainly lead to a fatal or serious accident, as cars entering Mansfield from Compton only look to the right (the direction of most oncoming car traffic) before pulling out into the intersection. Mansfield needs a counterflow bicycle lane and Compton needs a sign telling drivers to look both ways. We also need stop lines, crosswalk markings and serious traffic calming at all intersections.
Otherwise, the quality of life in this neighborhood will continue to suffer.
