On Saturday (4/4) at about 4:30pm I smelled smoke coming from the small area between my residence (on Harrison St.) and the building behind us (85 Vernon St.). I took a closer look and found a small fire. After putting it out, I noticed a cigarette butt in the center of the extinguished fire. Residents from 85 Vernon St. often toss cigarette butts off of the balcony, though this is the first time its started a fire. There is a lot of wood debris and dry vegetation where they are landing, and it seems likely this may happen again. I was unable to make contact with anyone from the building about this.
