Next nearest open street-level entrance to the skyway system is the Lawson Parking Ramp. Requires a long, steep climb up 5th Street heading west. Sidewalks are in poor shape, and grade commonly reaches nearly 5 degrees. Street-level and skyway level doors at Lawson Ramp are both automated, but access to both street-level doors requires getting over a rise between the sidewalk and the building that has grown to almost an inch in both places. Outdoor shelters do not provide skyway access. That is the point.
