speed limit is 15. average speed is 35+ that includes school buses. in the 15yrs i have been here two of my personal vehicles have been totaled parked out front numerous broken mirrors and last month my parked vehicle was hit causing $5000 in damage. everyone seems to think if they floor it from the stop sign they can make the green light at state rd.impossible to do but they try. its getting worse

It is getting exponentially worse in just the short amount of time we have lived on the block. The drivers are ridiculous, using the street as a cut through, and barely stop at the stop signs at all. Getting out of my drive way has become horrible, and I've nearly been hit by cars that went through the stop signs many times. It needs to change.

If you have a driveway park in the driveway. Most of the problem solved. Yes people are speeding, and it's not always possible to park in the driveway. As when company is over, but I've seen so many empty driveways where the owners are parked in the street. That makes no sense to me!

By the way, I completely agree about the stop sign only being used as a "suggestion". Now if we can only get the students to stop playing chicken with the cars and running out into the street between the parked cars. The school bus drivers are the worst.

Hey guest troller who closed this item with the brilliant response of "if you don't like it, move": grow a pair and sign in. Obviously moving (out of the area, the country...) because people disobey laws with no recourse is an invalid solution, looking for a reaction. Re-opened and reported. I hope SCF can trace IPs...

The stop signs and speed limits need to be enforced. If done at rush hour, especially evening, I bet the police can make a month's worth of ticket revenue in a few days. Especially the area already mentioned, the stop sign at Harper/Huey, and the speed limit on Shadeland, Huey, or School.

When I first moved here 20yrs ago. The police would sit in the kindergarten center parking lot and do their paperwork or take their break whatever they were doing... people knew they were there and drove normal. Now I drive around Drexel hill every day and you never see a cop anywhere . Other people notice this too and take advantage of it.

they should raise the speed limit there. its almost impossible to drive uphill at 15 mph without stalling.
