Here's the problem on Willard:
People on bicycles do not have a southbound 'lane' and have three options; the sidewalks that are crowded with neighbors and Champlain students, the wrong way in the established but unswept northbound bike lane, or the proper way in the street with a door zone and cars passing against oncoming traffic without concern for safe passing.
I recommend at least putting sharrows down three feet out from the parked car doors with proper signage. Ideally, on street parking would be removed and a dedicated bike lane would be placed.

That's a shame. If 5 people can't find parking on a street that was never full, then I suspect they aren't trying hard enough.
Just think; when the slower uphill bicyclists are in a bike lane, drivers can speed to their heart's content.
