Description

Excessive Noise
I live a block away and find the music at Amsterdam way too loud for a mixed use neighborhood.
There needs to be a respectful coexistence.
When the city allows hundreds of residential units to be built and we buy into a "normal" neighborhood, then, 7 years after the condos are built the city allows bars to open across the street and takes no action to mitigate when they blast music at us at ridiculous noise levels--seriously, the amplification is way off the charts--it is now a zoning issue. The noise ordinance now needs revision to allow enforcement of irresponsible bar owners such as Amsterdam. Zoning should not allow constant harrassment and assault (if you think I am exaggerating come stand in front of 1010 Central on a Monday at 10:30pm) by such inconsiderate neighbors.
