This matter has been submitted to the Dept. of Public Works and this ticket will be closed. Please refer to CSR # 20020978159 when inquiring. Follow up can be conducted through our Customer Care office @ (804)646--7000. Thank you for your report to Richmond Government online.
I called the number listed above and was told that 'closing' the issue meant that someone had seen it and filed paperwork to fix the issue. The alley is scheduled to be repaired in November of 2015.
Given that, in the past, the alley was regraded several times a year and the holes are much worse than usual, this in unacceptable. When is the city going to address the leaking water main under the alley causing the sinkholes and the collapsing street on Chatham at the entrance of the alley?

This request is not a pothole request for street, therefore its a pothole in the alley which means it's classified as a CRS ticket which is still opened.
Ticket should remain open until the task is completed.
I called the number listed above. This job is not scheduled until November, 2015. This is unacceptable as this alley is usually graded several times a year and currently in worse condition than I have ever seen it.
The appropriate response would be to acknowledge the request (see above on 4/20/2015) All other responses imy that the issue has been fixed and it has not.

It is past November now. This was the date the city set back in June to actually address the issue.
The city has done nothing to address the issue. Were it not for a small and slight retired woman with a wheelbarrow of rocks she purchases, none of us, neither the city refuse trucks nor meter readers, could access this alley.
Still nothing done. Streets used by bike race repaired. Side streets, like Chatham, look like they are ready to collapse. Henrico county is replacing water and sewage lines in nearby and same vintage Lakeside to prevent street and alley collapse. Richmond continues to deny there is any issue. Neighbors have asked city repeatedly to investigate why this alley developes wet deep potholes even in seasons of drought. According to city there is no issue.
Thanks. Email sent. No, alley remains in horrible condition and were it not for neighbors filling some holes with self-purchased rock, it would be impassable. City garbage and recycling trucks and other utility vehicles use this alley.
