Construction Start date: Construction will occur during the summer 2012. The actual start date is not yet scheduled.
Length of Construction: The construction duration has not been determined at this time. Paving work on each road is expected to take several days. Scope and duration of coordinated utility improvements is yet to be determined.
Project Type: This is a paving resurfacing project. Resurfacing projects use a mill and overlay process. This process will consist of removing a portion of the existing asphalt pavement surface and placing a new surface over the entire street. The purpose of the resurfacing program is to extend the life of a roadway by approximately 10 years. The Plymouth Avenue bridge will be worked on this summer. We are unable to complete this type of construction in the winter months.
