If the potholes aren't filled by Rock to Rock this weekend, would anyone be willing to mark them with white paint before the ride (and maybe sweep gravel to the side)? I'd do it myself, but I'm out of town until Friday night (and don't have a car to carry a broom).

Good point, Brian Tang. I can't remember, how many of the rides go down that stretch of New Road? It MAY be worth re-routing. Since Tuttle and Brooksvale have now been repaved ("Yeeehaa!"), that's by far the worst stretch of road around Sleeping Giant that's regularly ridden...

A viable re-routing option would be to make a left instead of a right out of the Sleeping Giant State Park rest stop and take Mount Carmel to Ridge Road about a half mile down on the right. Riders could then take the right onto Ridge Road (and enjoy the added steep climb here!) and remain on Ridge Road until it re-intersects the existing mapped ride a couple of miles up the road past the intersection with Route 22...

The head ride guides previewed the route two weeks ago and made adjustments as needed at that time. Unless the potholes have gotten dramatically worse in the past two weeks, I think we should trust their decision not to change the route at the pre-planned review point. To change it now might be more trouble than it's worth.

It has been patched. It doesn't seem like Hamden checks SCF, probably better to call Hamden DPW with issues.
