Description

I understand that East Princess Street is to be resurfaced after gas and water lines are replaced. Could the serious drainage problem at this intersection be repaired as well? This is not one of those "once in a hundred year" problems. This is 2 or 3 times a month in the spring and summer, and a couple of times in the winter months. I'm not talking a few inches, we get a foot of water out here. The foundation of our house is saturated and the other three that are across from S. Albamarle St.have similar problems. I have video to show this problem. The water laps against the front of our house. My husband lived here as a child and we inherited the house, and decided to live here and fix it up. He said the problem has always been here. We get a river through our carport as well as a flooded basement and back yard. If we grade and fix the problem, it's only going to make it worse for our neighbors. I know we're not the "glamorous" part of town, but we pay the high York city taxes the same as other more affluent areas. This fix has been a long time coming. PLEASE fix it!
