Please understand that according to the City's Code of Ordinances and MA General Law, the City is only allowed to make temporary repairs to private ways This is often confused as maintenance, but it is assistance until a permanent repair can be made.
As you have stated, we have made temporary repairs in the past to this area. A permanent repair to this area has not been made. You may not be aware, but the abutters have a shared responsibility to maintain the private private ways.
We will have someone assess to see if it falls under temporary repairs.
