Description
Hi my name is Ruben Rassi, I live on Bond St. and this is the second time a car almost hits my wife and kids driving up the wrong way on Lincoln from Route 20. There has to be a better way to prevent people from speeding up this one way other than just a One Way sign. Here are some suggestions: 1. Eliminate the double line on the road that extends to RT 20. This only encourages people to drive up illegally as they have there own lane up a one way. 2. Speed bump at the end of Lincoln St. This would at least slow down cars trying to come up illegally, they will usually drive up just as fast as they where driving on Rt 20. 3. Put a sidewalk path and shorten the exit to Rt. 20 to just one lane. The side walk path will also make it safer for the pedestrians who have to walk up Lincoln St on the street having to avoiding traffic. It's dangerous, person are sometimes walking at night. These are hard working people coming off shifts from Dunkin Donuts and the shops at the RK center. There will also inevitably be more pedestrians as the new Overlook homes are completed. There are lots of moms and dads with kids on Bond St that would love to walk up Lincoln safely towards the center of town to catch the bus or go to 7-11 or just to take a walk around the neighborhood. I would just like to see this be a safer street and neighborhood for the families and workers in the area. Thanks for your time.

Mr. Rassi,
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We agree that some minor modifications to traffic markings at this intersection could improve compliance with the do not enter signs. The Engineering Division will develop a recommendation for the Traffic Commission for the next meeting to be held in May. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Engineering Division at 508-624-6910 extension 7200.
Thank you,

Mr. Rassi,
I will add this issue to the May 26th Traffic Commission agenda for discussion. In the meantime, I will have the patrol shifts assign directed patrols to that area to enforce the do not enter condition.
Thank you,
