Thank you for your e-mail to the City of St. Petersburg SeeClickFix Program. This information was given to Acting Lieutenant Coeyman, the District II Midnight Shift Commander, to investigate.
Acting Lieutenant Coeyman, and other police officers assigned to the midnight shift, conducted vehicle and foot patrols of Crescent Lake Park in an effort to locate subjects sleeping within the park in violation of the posted park hours. During these patrols, the officers did not locate anyone sleeping in the park. The officers who routinely work this area have been asked to continue checking the park as part of their routine patrol plan to ensure this does not become a problem.
If you see any further activity occurring at the park, please call (727) 893-7780 so that an officer can be promptly dispatched. You may also contact Acting Lieutenant Coeyman at (727) 551-3057.
Thank you for bringing your concerns to the attention of the Mayor's office and the St. Petersburg Police Department.
Sincerely,
Luke C. Williams
Assistant Chief of Police
