The Parking Lot adjacent to the Henry apartments underneath the bridge at the specified location had become an area frequented by gang violence and domestic disturbances. I’ve lost sleep since I moved in here to a high degree, oftentimes waking up to multiple gunshots outside of apartment in this parking lot, and also extremely loud, bass-heavy music from cars that decide to park in this lot OUTSIDE OF OPERATIONAL LOT HOURS! The music and car revving in the lot is so loud that I’m sure it disturbs a majority of those who reside at this apartment complex, and this is occurring between the hours of 1AM and 6AM… pretty ridiculous. This is an obvious violation of city ordinances, and I have reported numerous issues in this lot to police often on a weekly basis, only for this to be an oversight. There is a lot of military in this building, and we would certainly appreciate some better sleep considering we already lack that in general. There needs to be permanent measure enacted to protect this community and our health/safety, and this parking lot for whatever reason is in desperate need of monitoring, a permanently installed gate, higher security measures, and more needs to be done by the people that own this lot in general and the police that drive this area must know that this lot is an issue at this point I’m sure, but it’s time for more serious actions to keep the parties and childish/dangerous behaviors out of this area for good
