This is a third party site that is not monitored by VDOT. You also put this problem in Newport News. The HRBT is in Hampton. I would recommend contacting VDOT at http://www.virginiadot.org/travel/citizen.asp or Customer Service Center: 800-FOR-ROAD (800-367-7623).
If you would like to report a roadway problem on a state maintained interstate or county road, please contact VDOT by visiting our website. Copy and paste the website address www.VirginiaDOT.org in your browser. Click the “Travel Center” link and then “Report a Road Problem.” You can also report roadway issues by calling 1-800-367-ROAD (7623).
If you would like to report a roadway issue on a city road, please contact your local city office.
As stated this is a third party site. That means it is not supported by the state or local governments, some select to monitor others do not use this site but use other methods to have items reported. Also the problem you reported is either Hampton or Norfolk and is the responsibility of the state to maintain. The state uses their web site to report problems since that is their system. You have reported this problem where you live not where the problem is. Please close this problem as it is not in Newport News. Please report to the state in a way they will review your concerns. I personally have called the number below and have gotten results very quickly. You report on this site and they will not even review your concern. The owners of this web site do not report the problem for you. If you do not want the problem fixed do not report it to the State using their method and they will be happy to not fix it. Report it and they will get it on a schedule. You will also get a work order that will help you track your concern. Feel free to post the work order so that others can follow it. Once it is fixed please remember since you opened it you should close it. Thanks
Like it has been pointed out your complaint is either in Hampton or Norfolk and needs to be reported to VDOT directly. VDOT maintains the interstates and they do not monitor this site. Please do not reopen again
