It sounds as if a City plow was used to clear snow on someone's private property. Why am I not surprised????

I used to live on Norton St years ago and the area you are talking about is a VERY WIDE section of road, yet every year it snowed no one would move their cars to the even side of the street in order for the plows to get the snow moved and a lot of people were unnecesarily plowed in then they would take other peoples spot after they shoveled themselves out. I am a city worker and every year that I lived there I tried to get all the neighbors to move their cars to the opposite side of the street so the Public Works driver that I knew was on the route could clear the street when I called him. It is not white glove treatment he was doing his job. Your comment states that maybe if you moved your car you would get the same white gloved treatment? Yes you move your car and ask your neighbors to move their cars then the street would be properly plowed, don't make it political because the city worker moved his/her car to get a service that we pay taxes for. Now if it was a personal driveway then that's something to talk about otherwise gather the neighbors and develop a plan so your street can be cleared. On that section of road there is no excuse why people can't alternate parking on the other side of the street and move to the other when they are done with the other.

I will close this issue for now, since winter is over. But if it happens again this coming winter, I will post yet again.
