The property address is actually 457 Fourth Street. There are many problems with this property. The neighbors would like to see it cleaned up and more secure.
This has been and on going problem for a number of years. The City of Toledo has done absolutely nothing about it.The roof on the back portion of the church is completely caved in,. Everyone that is sent out say the same thing. "There is nothing we can do".The back building has a cement floor and when it rain it becomes a breeding ground for mosquitoes.Health department comes out and say`s "There is nothing we can do".Building Inspector comes out and say`s "There is nothing we can do" Maybe Toledo ought to change it`s Slogan to "The No Can Do City" !
What is the city of Toledo waiting for to fix or tear down this church? Are they waiting for the loose bricks to fall on someone's head or kill a small child before the city will take care of this dangerous and SERIOUS situation. This whole block of Fourth st is tired of looking at this church looking like this and tired of pieces of roofing and metal fall down and hit cars. Someone needs to step up soon to do something about this. Maybe we need to get a hold of Channel 11 first call for action for help.

This property is still a nuisance, the neighbors have reported it, spoke to the media and it is still an eyesore and safety hazard to the neighborhood.
Thank you Jodi.. Us neighbors think the city needs to do something immediately...before someone gets hurt or killed. Just a matter of time before the side wall of church collapses. We watch this church weekly and see small shifts of the bricks...first heavy snow on the roof, walls are coming down. Hope it doesn't hurt or kill children going to school. Thanks again for you comment.
