I seriously give thanks any time public safety work gets done. THANK YOU!

As a resident this is pretty serious. As a working parent with 3 young children I would not appreciate to have my family woken up during these early hours.

We apologize for the inconvenience, with public safety in mind, pavement markings were restored as soon as possible after the first course of paving on Danforth Street. It is standard practice for the Department to install pavement markings at night when traffic is at a minimum as you can imagine the paint takes time to dry before cars can drive on it. Annual re-painting of all traffic markings throughout Town is also performed at night.

Based on the reply I got the sense that "Too bad, night time is when we do this type of work, and if it keeps you awake? oh well." It is not much of a resolution to the issue that was be brought to the attn of the town. I grew up in Waltham which like Framingham is a large city/town (except we had sidewalks) and our house was of of a major street like "Concord Street" and all work was done during business hours and traffic was diverted as necessary. Perhaps you may want to get feedback on the type of paint they used for the traffic markings. I don't feel Framingham has the best interest of ll of its citizens young and old if these sorts of issues are "closed" with an "Oh well" type of reply.

I find the most understanding and support is from neighbors and other residents, so thank you!

I am sure the workers would rather do the work during the day, but I am sure it is safer and more efficient to do it at night.

I understand the need for public safety and the need to do some work off-hours, and I completely appreciate the effort to impact the neighborhood as little as possible by getting the job done quickly, but my issue is with the hour chosen to do the work. The neighborhood is quite quiet from dusk onwards, so why not 9-10pm rather than 1-2am? Even some notice to the neighborhood that this would be happening at that hour would have been helpful, that way we're not surprised and cranky due to lack of sleep.
