Contact was made with Edinburg PD dispatch/Garcia and an extra patrol with PD for night time hours was placed for this address in reference to suspicious activity and dogs barking for too many hours during the night.
Contact was also made with Jonathan Esau/Code enforcement officer and he will be driving by location to try and locate the place where the dog is actually at and see if Animal care can make contact with the dog owners to stop the noise.
If problem persists, Citizen was advised to call PD while it was happening to the non emergency number and officer can go to location to try and locate the dog as well.

I stopped at 1926 Katherine for a few minutes listening for a barking dog but did not hear one at the time of my inspection. Will re-assign back to Animal Care.

Thank you so much for acknowledging and documenting my concern and for acting on it so promptly. The dog sounds like it’s a small dog and the barking becomes an issue during the night. There have been nights when the barking begins at 1, 2, 3, 4am and it continues incessantly until about 7am. The barking is pretty consistent between 5-7am, even on weekends. Although I am not 100% sure where the dog is located, I feel pretty confident saying it’s probably within the first 3 houses to the West side of my property (on Katherine Ave) or the 3 houses behind those houses (on Andrea Ave.). The barking is disruptive to my daughter’s sleep and it’s very concerning to us because she has special needs and the interrupted sleep can cause a lot of behavioral issues in the morning and during the day.
