  That is a coin toss to be truthful. While those trees
  are in the ride away they are probably on the church’s property and the churches insurance should cover the expense to repair and remove the trees.

  ffdlm, It's "right of way" not "ride away." If you look at the Google street view for the First Church of Christ Scientist at 807 Owens Dr SE, Huntsville, AL 35801 you will see that these trees are only a couple feet away from the edge of the road.

  Marianne, the fact that there's a lot of damage throughout the city does not negate this issue. The appropriate thing for everyone to do is to make arrangements to get the fallen trees taken care of as soon as possible. My guess is these trees will end up being the church's responsibility though, even though they are just feet from the edge of the road.
