Description
The crosswalk at the intersection of Grand Ave and Olive St needs repainting. Especially now that it's dark, there is virtually no line for pedestrians to feel safe.

Repainting the crosswalk would be a very good idea. The stop line should also be pushed back, so that pedestrians have more space and feel more secure.
In the long term, the most effective measures to improve safety are 1) narrowing the crossing distance, through "bulb outs", and 2) reducing vehicle speeds.
Crosswalks may improve comfort but without doing the above, you are simply not necessarily going to prevent people from being hit and injured here.
From any ethical perspective, the current state of speeding and inadequate pedestrian/bike facilities along Grand Avenue is unacceptable.
