Members of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith have been routinely using the sidewalk across the street from the church as a parking lot for members who apparently are too lazy to find a legal spot and then walk to the services. The church does own the lot and makes full use of it for not only parking but also for running an illegal restaurant from it during the warmer months. On weekends, when the lot is full, members then make use of the sidewalk in front of the lot for parking. They also park on both sides of the street with huge private buses blocking the public bus stop located just on the corner of 22nd and Bainbridge. Many of the vehicles illegally parked are from New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia--out of town members of the church who do not pay any local taxes, but feel entitled to use public sidewalks as personal property.
