It's a public street so there's nothing wrong with using it. The supposed speeding/running of the stop signs should be directed to the police department, not a blog.

I've been using that street for many years to avoid the traffic. It's a public street supported by my tax dollars, so it's my right. However, I do stop at the stop signs and don't speed.

I would like to agree with this post as it pertains to the speeding and to the running the stop signs. I would like to ask all of those who use this as a short cut. How much time does it really save you? Challenge, next time you use this short cut, time yourself, then once on purpose use the proper route. Then ask yourself how much time did you save? Did you find yourself driving faster than you had hoped? There is no right and wrong just honesty. Let me tell you that I used to be that cut through guy, I know the answer. God bless.

to all of you that use it as a cut thru, how would you like it if it was your children that played in the neighborhood, and had people flying up and down the road. we have contacted the city, and they say there are plans in the works, but I do not believe any of it. so when the enevitable DOES happen, and a child does get hurt, pray to whatever god you believe in, because then, there WILL be problems!
