What's the status on this request? This issue was acknowledged more than three years ago.
I remember DPW talking about wanting to avoid 'stranded' pedestrians needing to walk significant distances to find a crosswalk only to then turn around and walk the other direction back toward their intended goal. This happens all the time trying to cross Pine toward the lake when coming from Birchcliff (the obvious route if you're on foot).
