FUNNY THING ABOUT THIS LIGHT ALSO, IS THAT THE CHURCH HERE, POINT HARBOR COMMUNITY CHURCH, NEEDS A POLICE OFFICER (OFF-DUTY, IN HIS OWN CAR) BEHIND THE LIGHT CONTROL BOX, CONTROLLING THE LIGHT SO PEOPLE CAN LEAVE THE CHURCH ON A SUNDAY MORNING........

December 2011 - light has been improved a bit, but not much. Still have to wait a considerable amount of time for the light to change. I'm tempted to get out of my car and press the 'crosswalk' button to get the light to change sometimes it takes sooooo long...... I think Chesapeake needs to put in a loop in the ground, the above light sensors aren't working that great.... But then again, this has been like this for years, do we really expect anything to change?? NO - good ole City of Chesapeake

Thank You Susan. I have done some research on many of the lights on Taylor road. Most of the lights will change quickly when a vehicle is trying to enter or cross Taylor Road, except for the light at N Elizabeth Harbor Drive. As mentioned in the original post, this has been like this for YEARS. I've seen people go thru this light while it is RED to get across the street or take left turns. All the lights on Taylor Rd (Denning, Wally World entrance, Drum Creek, and Taylorwood, all change within 10 - 60 seconds of a vehicle approaching a red light trying to enter or cross Taylor Rd. the worst time I have recorded was 4 minutes at N Elizabeth Harbor, as the longest time. Like I mentioned in my previous post, it does seem to be getting better, but not as good as the other interesections. Thanks for your input and follow up.

John on 12/7/2011 Traffic Engineering repaired the camera at that location. This should take care of the problem!
