I apologize if I used the wrong word. When I said looking into she will followup with court order and will document it is happening and ask the court to issue a content order.

A content order?

The Court Order states the "DRIVEWAY INSTALLED ILLEGALLY". Code Compliance officers told me that Zoning (Stachowiak) has authorized this resident to keep the illegal driveway. Stachowiak needs to unauthorize the resident to keep the illegal driveway and re-install the curb.

It's time that the tax payers start fighting back to get things done, it gets old that code enforcement always has a reason not to do anything. Maybe we the tax payers need to hold a meeting to find out how many people are going through the same thing, then find a way to do something about it. If people would come together instead of doing nothing then maybe we can get things accomplished.

Exactly! I have been trying to get them to do their job now for the last 2 years. Everyone just says they are understaffed which is why they accomplish nothing. If they had more over paid staff they would have time to go out and do something. At this point they get notified, send a letter and hopefully someone goes to see if the yard is mowed. Anything else is too much. Prior to 2 years ago, they would find a property that was easy to harass and target them, I was one of the targeted. They we sending letters constantly about stupid stuff. They filed false reports against me. I was a victim of vandalism and the police wouldn't do anything, without pretty much knowing the criminal and having video evidence clearly identifying the criminal. I was caught 3 ways by the vandals, the limited police support and finally by the victimizing code compliance.

Ron, a citizen advocate is a great idea. Reading the complaints in this forum exemplifies the frustration and irritation of too many residents. What benefit is a court order if it's not enforced? 13 months after a court judgment and I'm still asking for enforcement. Maybe we all need to start our own website maybe on one of the social media pages and have everyone join that is having issues with nothing is getting done.

My suggestion is to make as much noise as you can even if this means going to every meeting, making it noted with the media, and please consider calling the mayors office and posting on all of their facebook pages this gets a lot of attention. The interesting thing about this is why this has gone on for more than 2 years. A court order was rendered and all compliance was to be made by June 5, 2014 - fourteen months ago and no matter how many times code compliance was notified in the fourteen months, nothing was ever enforced. Just look in the last 6 weeks of posting pictures here, nothing. If Magistrate Millmore's rulings are meaningless then why is she in that position to hear cases and render rulings in the first place? Doesn't it make you wonder how many situations like this are out there? What if the majority of people in Lansing who obey laws and don't try to put anything over on others, did exactly as they pleased.

Received a 60 days notice from this website. Still waiting for enforcement action from Code Compliance.

My question is why is the code compliance dept on here? LBWL is, the Mayor's office is, Carol Wood is, but where is CC? Come on Greg, get up out of that chair. Get your other co-payee's up too. I don't want to say co-workers, that would imply too much.

Code Compliance finally wrote tickets, they appear under the Lansing court records this last Tuesday. The picture shows what I woke to this morning, tp in the trees, eggs on the front porch, house and roof and is the handy work of the perpetrators. Criminals to their very core.

I took down most of the toilet paper and laid it on my property line so the perpetrators at this address could enjoy the mess as much as I was. Last eve the perpetrator called LPD and I told the officer it's on my property.

Look what I discovered at 3am this morning on the next post written on the side of my house. And since it expresses my sentiments EXACTLY and faces the perps house, I'm going to leave it.

I hold the City of Lansing completely responsible for allowing the residential zoning laws to go unenforced for over 2 years.
