Thanks but you guys are going to have to come back in a few weeks. These patches don't last long. Is the street ever going to be repaved the right way?

Williams Ave does not appear on the list of Town accepted roadways supplied to us by the MassDOT. The only funding we receive to pave roads is through the state, and the roads need to be accepted roadways. The DPW does not accept roads on behalf of the Town, this is accomplished by Town Meeting.

How do we get it on there because in the 6 years I've lived in Saugus some streets have needlessly been repaved more than once. We were told when we moved in that Williams was on the list to be repaved in 2 years. That would have been a 2011 date to be repaved. Then we were told that it was on hold because the owner of the lot next door was going to be building a house which fell through because he wasn't willing to pay for incoming water lines to be ran from Hurd St.

The DPW has submitted a plan to begin the process of accepting roads and we await this initiative to be funded. This will allow information to be submitted to towm meeting for acceptance.
