Description
There needs to be a flashing left turn arrow (lets cars go thru when its safe to do so). There is a flashing left turn arrow in the Westbound left turn, but not in the Eastbound. The Eastbound usually has more cars and would benefit greatly from this. Thanks.

Thank you for your comments regarding this intersection. We have previously evaluated this intersection for the flashing left-turn arrow, but determined it would be best only for the Eastbound direction. The sight distance is limited for the westbound direction due to the curvature of the road, which causes the vehicles in the left-turn lane to obscure the view of oncoming traffic. We determined it to be safest to operate the left-turn signal as protected only, meaning vehicles can only turn left on the green arrow. This may delay westbound traffic somewhat, but we felt it was the safest approach.
