The home at 2391 66th Terrace South in St Petersburg, FL has been taken over by squatters. A woman & her two children so far. This property is bank owned & if I knew the bank, I would call them to let them know.

Thank you for your message. Several peoplel been trying to find out which bank owns the house. The police and Mayor's office have been called, but nothing has happened. There are actually about 6 teenagers and 4 toddlers now … this is really ridiculous.

Yes, it is absolutely ridiculous!!! It is totally stealing & people who feel entitled. I had actually contacted the relatives of the homeowner who passed & they said it was bank owned. I can see if they know which bank is handling it.

It isn't BOA that owns this property...so must be another bank. Hoping police will get the squatters out of this house!!!

Can't find the bank either, which seems rather odd. Doesn't seem like the police have had much luck yet. Someone recommended contacted a tv station.

Channel 8 on your side....definitely worth a try!! I actually don't live down there anymore but it just infuriates me (as so many others....especially the neighbors!) that I wanted to try & help!! Hope one of the neighbors or several will contact the news....may be the only hope of getting them out before they invite all their relatives to live for free!! Seems like the police could get them out....they have no legal right to this property!! As I understand the water company turned the water off twice & they cut both locks; then, got a dummy lease (they probably actually bought that!) and gave it to the water dept. These entitles seem to know how to work the system & we seem to allow them to do it!

Yes, I agree...I would think all the neighbors would want to get involved & get them out!! If we could just found out the bank that owns it...they could proceed & get an attorney to evict them. Don't think police can do anything because it is bank owned. If water company & electric companies could turn off both...maybe that would force the freeloaders out. Maybe at one of your" neighborhood watch" meetings" this could be addressed. Maybe put flyers on all neighbors' doors letting them know & to attend the meeting. I don't know...just throwing things out there. Still like your idea of contacting news....that might actually help.

Not sure if this is still a problem with the squatters but the house was sold on 6/7/2016 to McNally Realty Holdings in Pinellas Park. Their phone number is 727-360-9355. I do not live in this area so I would not be able to determine if the residents are squatters or renters, etc. Good Luck

I also live in the area (only 1 block south and 1 block east of this property). We had an ongoing squatter problem on our street a few months ago that lasted for quite a long time. With persistence and help from our Codes Investigator and Community Police Officer we were finally able to run them off (of our street at least). Unfortunately, they more than likely just moved on to terrorize another street. Good luck!

This house was sold and is currently owner occupied.
