Description

I submitted this this issue last week & the City of Oakland Public Works crew did a fantastic job at one of the locations (I would like to formally commend them).

HOWEVER, I don't beleive the other locations were taken care of. PLease see below for list of locations:

For almost two years, the sidewalks on Telegraph and Broadway in the Uptown district have been marred with utility markings. The utility companies/City/AC Transit did not use paint that washed away with the rain – it is permanent! This is creating blight and attracting tagging on the sidewalk. Note that people have added “F” and “FU*%” in front of the “USA.” These utility markings are no longer necessary because they were put there for installation of new bus stops (Broadway Shuttle), but these stop sign poles were installed two years ago! Here are the locations. Thank you so much for eliminating this blight from the neighborhood.

1) Telegraph at 16th heading south (in front of dentist office)
2) Telegraph at 16th heading north (in front of cathedral building) THIS HAS BEEN TAKEN CARE OF THANK YOU
3) Telegraph at 18th heading south (in front of Rudy’s Can’t Fail Café)
4) Telegraph at 19th heading north (across from Fox Theater in front of book store)
5) Telegraph at 20th heading south (in front of Café Madrid/Paramount Theater)
6) Telegraph at 20th heading south (in front of Sears)

This one showed up more recently: Broadway at 16th heading south (in front of cathedral building)
