(posted on behalf of Assistant Chief Luke Williams, SPPD) Complaints concerning the noise ordinance you will need to contact the non emergency police department @ 727-893-7780. Sincerely Mayor's Action Center.
(posted on behalf of Assistant Chief Luke Williams, SPPD) Thank you for your submission to the City of St. Petersburg's SeeClickFix website on July 22, 2015. Chief Holloway has asked me to respond directly to you regarding the issue of a lawn service company starting to mow grass at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesdays, 30 minutes before the city ordinance allowable time period. On July 29, 2015, Officer C. Parker responded to 726 Snell Isle Blvd NE and made contact with DJS Lawn Service as they arrived on scene at 7:23 a.m. Officer Parker advised the driver of the city ordinance and explained to him the allowable time periods according to noise nuisance ordinance and the associated fines attached to each violation. The worker apologized and stated that he would adhere to the time periods of the city ordinance. I would like to also encourage you to contact the St. Petersburg Police's non-emergency phone number, 727-893-7780, should you see any more violations of this nature by the same company.
If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact Sergeant Lesandro Santiago at 727-892-5913. Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention.
Sincerely,
Luke C. Williams
