Recology provides curbside collection of used motor oil and filters at no cost. Once requested from Recology (650 595-3900), they will provide you with up to five one-gallon plastic jugs for your used motor oil and up to five zippered plastic bags for your used oil filters. You can also use your own clear zippered plastic bags for used oil filters and clear plastic containers for used motor oil, such as a one-gallon milk jug, which has been properly sealed to prevent leaks. Properly sealed is tape around the top of the container.
Simply leave the filled jugs and bags beside your blue Recycle cart on your garbage and recycling day when you put it out for service and we'll pick it up for you.

At Your Door Special Collection at 800-HHW-PKUP (800-449-7587) or email email@example.com and explain the type of Household Hazardous Waste and a collection appointment will be scheduled at this time. Step 2: At Your Door will then send you a Collection Kit within a few days, which includes an instruction sheet, plastic bag for your materials, labels for the items and a tie for the bag.
Step 3: Follow the Kit instructions to properly prepare your materials. Use the provided labels to ensure items are clearly marked. Containers must have lids, and be of 5-gallon capacity or less. Some items must be placed separately next to the bag. Set out your items for collection by 7 a.m. on your scheduled collection day near your home as directed.
