Description
At the end of Haines Bayshore, as the road curves and the road becomes sunrise blvd, there is a gate to a county drainage easement. In the past, the gate was locked. There is now no lock and the gate is left open by people using the easement as Bay access. With the gate open, it is not apparent that the road sharply curves. (reflectors on the fence are not visible with the gate open) Also, people use the area as a party place, and leave trash that washes into the Bay. Additionally, there were originally several signs prohibiting parking overnight. All but one sign is down, and an out of state car parks there every night.

We have even had a car miss the curve completely last year when the markers were properly up on the fence. Going full speed and could have been deadly if anyone were walking like they usually do.
Imagine the lack of seeing the curve and fence now due to the fact we have no reflectors and a car parked there. It is a an accident waiting to happen.
I agree, this needs to be addressed. In more than one way.
