Description
East Mt Hope is one massive pothole. How is it possible that the city/state is doing absolutely NOTHING about this mess!! I want to know what plans are being made to fix it. Or are we going to continue to run down our cars on these roads. The state of the roads in Lansing in general (especially Michigan Avenue leading up to the Capitol) is an embarrassment to the state legislators & to MSU. I want to hear from them!

Hello,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have reported the potholes on Mt. Hope to our Operations & Maintenance division. In the future, to get a faster response, please call O&M directly at 517-483-4161. It is important to note that the City prioritizes road resurfacing and reconstruction based on the funding available, the condition of the roadway, its traffic volumes and costs of the necessary fix. We rate city roads based on the PASER rating, ranging from 1-10 (1 and 2 needing reconstruction). To learn more about PASER ratings please visit: www.lansingmi.gov/paser. Have a great day!
Thanks,
Lansing Public Service Department
