We have previously requested that something be done about the very high grass down the entire western easement from 26th A/S to 38th A/S. Since we asked, the grass has only gotten higher. And higher.

Update from Community Services: As you are already aware, the west side of 31st St S from 26th Ave S to 38th Ave S abuts 275, and is therefore the responsibility of the FDOT to maintain. These reports are forwarded to their attention, however we do not have access to their mowing schedule, so we have no way of knowing when that area might be addressed. We will continue to forward your complaints to them in the hope that they will mow the reported area. Thank you again for your post.

I am fairly certain that after years of haggling over this strip of land, the CITY agreed to take responsibility for it and since they have done that, the FDOT is not going to pay it any attention. Which is why it looks the way it looks. Can you please nail this down once and for all? It is totally unfair for our neighborhood to be caught between two bureaucracies pointing the finger at each other.

The Brazilian Pepper trees in this area also need to be trimmed / removed as they have been allowed to grow over the sidewalk. They are also an eyesore and a VERY invasive plant.
