I saw him do the same thing and cause a car to rear end the car that he jumped in front of. He is a hazard, not a help. He must be related to somebody influential in Parkside.

How in the world did you get into an accident at 15 mph?! I guess you should have not been tailgating! I am sure the insurance company told you the person in the accident the same thing, when they put 100% of the fault on them.

I live on Avon rd in parkside and have to drive by that crossing guard every day, sometimes a couple times a day. You are right it is not his job to stop traffic and let other cars out. I have seen Edgemont ave so backed up because he does that. I was going 15 mph through there, which is the limit at times and he yelled at me to slow down more than once, how much slower does he want me to go, as I said I was already doing the speed limit. When the police are filling in when that guy isn't there, I have no problems. He does need to be told that it is not his job to direct traffic, his job is to cross the kids. If the traffic is an issue then they should put a light there that is tripped to change when a car comes up to it.

i agree he does it all the time its not right if it was ok then there would be stop signs or a light there : )

It looked like he stopped doing it for the first week of school this year but he resumed before mid-september.

as a parkside resident, i would agree that this guy needs to tone it down! he's always teetering on the edge of the curb. whenever i drive by i'm so afraid he's going to fly off the sidewalk and decide to stop traffic for a non school reason.

I agree with most comments I'malways on edge when I have to drive passed him... but for right now he is sick so please everyone could you keep him in your prayers...he's a grwat man!
