Is anybody in this city going to address the speeding issue on 10th Street N between 70th and 76th aves n? This has been an ongoing safety issue for quite some time now with zero results from Meadowlawn Neighborhood Association and St Petersburg Police, the only time we've seen any Police around here is 2 times in 5 years all of which they were called! This area needs Police patrols on a regular basis to prevent speeding and Theft.

Transportation Department staff last conducted a 24-hour speed study in this section of 10th Street on April 6, 2015. The results showed average operating speeds between 33.42 MPH southbound and 36.67 MPH northbound. A letter was sent to the Police requesting enforcement at that time.
With these speeds this area does qualify for speed humps, however to proceed we need a resident to volunteer to circulate a petition. If you are interested, please call me at 893-7843.
