Cars are still at house and on corner of Samantha and Southgate, where she moved them to the other house she owns

Cars still sitting there at the corner house they own, porch is crumbling, railing hanging, just a total eyesore and dangerous porch.

Ongoing problem, it will never be cleaned up, city must think it looks OK, maybe if they had to look at it everyday it might be different? City should drop taxes for the block because values have to be going down!

Still a mess, porch was rebuilt, but pile of cement off to side of driveway, cars haven't moved in years that they have been in driveway, they park in street. Mother died last fall and house behind is littered with junk, trash and toys. They go back and forth between both houses. It is an eyesore for the neighbors.

It's been about a year. Are things better?

I get the impression it's no longer an issue. Lansing used to have some updates on issues and while they're fixing things. Did they not do that this time?

As of April 30, 2018 this property remains a blite with little to no action taken by the City.

Nothing is ever done to improve even a little. She has 3 or 4 kids, owns this house and the one behind on Samantha St, which looks even worse if that is possible and the property next to the house on Samantha. Several vehicles on all 3 properties, most of which are not being used. It would be nice to drive by and see some improvement, never happens!

Code Compliance sent a letter to the property owner and will be rechecked this week. If it is not taken care of Code Compliance will have the contractor clean-up the and bill the property owner. As for the vehicle as long as it is parked legally you can have a vehicle with no tags or insurance on your property. You cannot store trash in them.

As of 8/5/2018 the overgrowth/trees/ bushes between the sidewalk and curb has not been taken care of. The overgrowth makes it difficult to see traffic on the corner of Southgate and Samantha Streets. There is trash in the yard and general blight throughout the two properties. Again the point in regards to the vehicles isn't whether they have tabs or insurance.......per the code compliance supervisor Brian McGrain if the vehicle is deemed undriveable it can be removed saying that the Chevy Van windows have been down for over a year (I'm auto mechanic by trade) this vehicle is undrivable. Code compliance and our public officials have turned a blind eye to this property owner and why is that?

Not much has been done, they just exist! The brush by the street was cleaned up last yr but its back to looking bad again. I feel bad for the little children living there, no place to play even though the side yard is fenced, no telling what condition its in. There was a broken window on second floor for awhile, one of bedrooms. The house behind that she owns also is hard to see with all the brush. Cars parked there also that apparently don't run as they haven't moved in years. Would be nice if something could be done, at least to make it safer for those toddlers.
