Right! Something is broken. As a Fair Haven resident and downtown business owner I have had enough. Where are our elected officials and police?

Obnoxious baby-minded people who never got enough attention from their fathers. I can hear the now:
Please pay attention to me.

I called 911 yesterday because two days in a row I witnessed a gang of dirt bikes and ATV's downtown breaking every traffic rule doing wheelies passing police that did nothing. Is there some law I am not aware of that allows this to go on?

It's awful I see it all the time too. Blowing through red lights, going the wrong way down one way streets, it's insane! And they are all over the city. I see them in Westville, on the boulevard, Frontage road, downtown, etc. There should be a task force set up specifically to address this instead of waiting until someone gets hurt or killed. The fact that cars are being ticketed during the Jazz fest and these maniacs are allowed to wreak havoc is mind blowing. People aren't going to come to the Elm City if this is allowed to continue.

Parking tickets are major income producer for the city, not too concerned about People who support New Haven

The parking commissioner sees himself as a business and the workers for parking authority don't really care since they are on salary

They only want their pay checks

Don't care about your enjoyment

New administration may care

Why chase lawbreakers when honest hardworking citizens are much easier to get $$ from then the kids who illegally ride these bikes and cause a menace to society

Something is backwards

Again Yesterday a friend and I counted 22 dirt Bikes and ATV's riding this time up Whalley with absolute impunity. Again I called 911 but no police came with lights on in that direction.

This is a regular event in Fair Haven. Two or three times a day. Dirt bikers doing wheelies at 70MPH through residential streets. Fifteen year olds in gangs doing wheelies on regular bikes in the wrong lane in to oncoming traffic to frighten drivers. Whoever wants to send their kids to Yale has to be mad.

Again yesterday, and the police chit chat at Starbucks and do nothing. They bikers were doing wheelies in front of Union League, and terrorizing the block of Chapel Street from Church to College, to High and then York. I question the value of this app if the City of New Haven does not respond to issues. This is a valid public safety issue, and will only intensify with the Yale students back this week. It seems destined to end in tragedy, which could be prevented. Moreover, a bigger discussion must occur about motor bikes in general downtown. Downtown in a city is not a place for loud bikes. There is no right to disturb entire communities with noise and danger, simply to satisfy an need for speed and noise.

May I suggest that every time this is witnessed to call the police and report it. Perhaps if enough people do so something may be done.

They were at HESS on State Street 345 pm approx.terrorizing drivers at State & Ferry & should be arrested.The Hess Station probably has on Security Camerad & Caneras at intersection should be view by New Haven, PD & recording should be placed in media to lock these hoodlums up.There wete at least 75 in this gang ALL races & ALL old enough to now better. Then when they get hurt it turns uglyoth the race card nonsense & becomes like another situayion across America & PD Dept. is blamed, & the New Haven Taxpayers pay the price in the end with citys legal bill for matters like this. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ASAP before innocent people are hurt & or killed. Camera Survaillance at HESS & Cameras at intetsection have to have foorage, some faces where covered & some where not.
